Pannonian Vitality: Well-being and joy for Life

Serenity and the ability to enjoy the moment run in the blood of the inhabitants of the Pannonian region. For this reason, more and more holiday-makers are discovering the region as a wellness destination, in which a holistic attitude to life is not only divined but also greatly celebrated: the slowing down and the conscious experiencing and enjoyment of nature, awareness of one’s own body, regional products, and the Pannonian cultural customs.

The region offers many gentle and enjoyable opportunities to revitalize, such as cycling in the gentle landscape, walking in the National Park where many rare birds can be seen, and sailing, surfing or swimming in the calm warm waters of the lake. Not to be forgotten is also the chance to taste Pannonian wines and local culinary delicacies, in comfortable Buschenschenken (a small restaurant serving home-made traditional food) and country inns. These experiences revitalize body, mind and soul.

St. Martins Thermal Bath&Lodge

On 11 November 2009, in one of the oldest and perhaps one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in Europe, the St. Martins Thermal Baths & Lodge - the first lodge in Central Europe - opened its doors to the public.

Whether you're a holiday spa-goer or a day-tripper with children, whether you want to discover nature, or yourself - somewhere between the sea and the sky, you'll realise that you there is no other place on Earth like this.

Set like a curved snail shell, St. Martins lies directly on an idyllic sea, providing both a relaxing and exclusive refuge as well as a perfect gateway for adventurers.

An oasis of peace, which promises the explorer in us a safe retreat, which creates a connection between spa and lodge, wilderness and culture, heart and mind and, in doing so, which will give the concept of staying at a thermal spa a new meaning.

Further to these ends one can try one of the refreshing Kneipp cures offered by the Cistercian nuns of the Marienkron Convent in Mönchhof, or relax for the day in the exclusive Vila Vita Hotel in Pamhagen where a “Trester” bath of wine lees, pomace and grape seed oil is offered as a beauty elixir. The focus of the Privathotel Das-Schmidt in Mörbisch is on your health and all-round wellbeing.
